The State Board of Health has the responsibility for promulgating regulations and
administrative codes pertaining to the reporting and control of diseases of public health importance.
This includes preventing any potential emergencies and responding to any emergency caused by a
disease dangerous to public health, to include hepatitis B, hepatitis C, and HIV.
